Everything you need to know about Blumi Solar, how it works, and what it can do for your solar business.

Product

Blumi is a guided solar estimate and education experience for residential solar companies. It helps homeowners explore and learn about solar directly on your website, including system size, production, savings, battery options, incentives, and next steps.

Blumi starts with a homeowner’s address and basic electricity information, then combines solar data, production modeling, utility rate assumptions, and your assumptions to generate a preliminary estimate.

Behind the scenes, Blumi can use sources like NREL, EIA local electricity rate data, installer-defined assumptions, and address-based solar data to estimate system size, production, savings, and next steps.

Residential solar installers who want a more modern website experience, better-qualified leads, and a better way to educate homeowners before the sales team ever picks up the phone.

No, and it never pretends to be. Blumi provides a preliminary estimate, not a final proposal. It helps homeowners get a clearer starting point, but final pricing, specifications, or performance depends on details that need to be confirmed by your team — including actual electricity usage, roof condition, system design, equipment choices, utility rules, incentives, and installation requirements.

Blumi’s estimate is meant to start the conversation with more context — not replace your team’s final consultation.

Blumi estimates are not intended to be final. They are preliminary estimates based on available data, homeowner-provided information, modeling assumptions, and your configured settings.

Blumi’s goal is not to replace a consultation or full system engineering design. It helps homeowners understand the opportunity earlier, while giving your team more context before the first conversation.

Features & customization

Yes. Cost-per-watt, incentives, utility rates, escalation rates, battery or solar degradation, and net-metering logic are all configurable.

Yes, on supported plans. Blumi can help homeowners see how adding a battery may change the picture — from backup power to using more of their own solar energy. You can configure battery equipment, pricing, and key assumptions, so Blumi’s storage estimates stay aligned with your offering.

Yes. Blumi lets you customize the estimate experience with your logo and brand colors. You can adjust these settings during the onboarding process and change them at any time. The goal is for Blumi to feel like a natural extension of your website, not a generic third-party widget.

Yes. The estimate experience is fully responsive and designed to work well on mobile, tablet, and desktop.

Integration & leads

Yes. Blumi is designed to embed into your current site — no migration, no source-code handoff, no platform lock-in. Just a few simple lines of code and we’ll handle the rest. Most installers go live in hours or days, not weeks.

Every submitted lead is stored in your Blumi dashboard with the estimate context behind it — not just a name and phone number. Your team gets an email notification when a new lead comes in, and leads can be exported as a CSV for follow-up or recordkeeping.

At launch, Blumi does not connect directly to CRMs. Leads are stored in your dashboard with the homeowner’s contact information and estimate context, and you can export them as a CSV for use in your CRM or sales workflow.

Direct CRM integrations are planned for future releases.

Your sales team receives the homeowner's information and full estimate context for follow-up. On Professional plans, Blumi can also send automated follow-up emails to the homeowner to reinforce the value of solar and guide them toward the next step.

Pricing & setup

No. Every plan includes a simple onboarding flow where you can add your branding, adjust your assumptions, and set up lead delivery. Once that’s done, Blumi can be embedded into your website with a simple code snippet.

Yes. Blumi is built to scale with your business. Start with the plan that fits your current traffic and usage, then upgrade when more homeowners begin using Blumi on your website.

Each plan includes a monthly number of addresses. An address is counted when a unique homeowner address generates a Blumi estimate during your billing cycle. If the same address returns or updates their estimate in the same month, it still counts once. Repeat visits from the same address do not count again within the same billing cycle.

If you exceed your limit, you can purchase additional usage through your plan’s overage rate or upgrade to a higher-volume plan.

Yes. Monthly plans can be canceled at any time, and your subscription will not renew after the current billing period. Annual plans can also be canceled before renewal, but remain active through the end of the annual term.
